Dr. Tejal Shaikh is a board-certified family medicine physician. She sees patients of all ages. Her clinical interests include women’s health, chronic disease management, public health and preventive medicine. Dr. Shaikh works with her patients and empowers them in making informed decisions about their health. She believes in treating the patient as a whole rather than treating the illness.
Originally from California, Dr. Tejal Shaikh earned her Masters in Public Health at St George’s university in West Indies and her Medical Degree at Western University of Health sciences in Pomona, California. She moved to Connecticut for residency and has considered it home since.
Prior to joining EGFP she worked at Nuvance Health. She works with medical students as an associate professor at Frank Netter.
Her interests include traveling, cooking, reading, performing arts, yoga, and spending time with family.
